The William Dennis Memorial Golf Tournament
The Cause
William Dennis was a young man full of promise and passion when a seizure suddenly and unexpectedly claimed his life at age 30. The William Dennis Fund was created to honor his memory. The goal of the foundation is to improve the quality of treatment for children with Epilepsy, through the establishment of a Research Chair in Pediatric Epilepsy, at the IWK.
The 5th annual William Dennis Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Chester Golf Club and is a major fundraising initiative for the programme.
Last year's tournament raised over $25,000 for The William Dennis Fund.
The true beneficiaries of the William Dennis Memorial Golf Tournament are Maritime children suffering with epilepsy and the adults they will become. With each passing generation, the benefits of the William Dennis Fund will support healthier children, better communities and brighter futures.
